Contributors’ Comments on Recent CEASE Campaigns
“Let me commend CEASE on your great Anti-Fur campaign! The posters and banners on the Boston T are outstanding and share the message of compassion powerfully....Thank you for your dedicated effort to end animal suffering and exploitation.”
“...I find that supporting a local animal rights group can be more satisfying... I use public transportation and I have seen evidence of my contributions in the form of ‘Legally Cruel’ billboards at Government Center T stop and Back Bay T stop. Since one million people use the T daily, I think you are reaching a huge portion of the population, most of whom are young people.”

Chadwick's — How Could You?
Thanks to an alert member, CEASE learned that Taunton-based Chadwick's is
offering a coat with a real fox-fur collar. We have let Chadwick's know of
the cruelty inherent in such a product and have asked them to agree to stop
offering real fur garments or accessories in future. (On the hopeful side,
all of their other fur trim is faux.)
We hope you will join us in urging Chadwick's to eliminate real fur from their
catalogs. The coat in question is Item # 2102-03965-1301. They can be
reached at (800) 544-3795 (customer service); or go to the contact page of
their website. Their
address is Chadwicks, 300 Constitution Dr., Taunton, MA 02783. As always,
polite requests are the most effective in these matters.
In Focus: The Witness
Looking for a powerful and moving film about animal advocacy to share with your friends and family? Try The Witness, a Tribe of Heart documentary available on DVD.
“How does a construction contractor from a tough Brooklyn neighborhood become an impassioned animal advocate? In the award-winning documentary THE WITNESS, Eddie Lama explains how he feared and avoided animals for most of his life, until the love of a kitten opened his heart, inspiring him to rescue abandoned animals and bring his message of compassion to the streets of New York.” Read more...
